MONEYVAL Committee of the Council of Europe

Between December 3 and 7, the 57th Committee MONEYVAL plenary was held in Strasbourg – the Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of measures against money laundering and financing of terrorism (AML / CFT) of Council of Europe.

At this meeting, the Principality was represented by an enlarged delegation composed of Philippe Boisbouvier, Jean-Marc Gualandi, Louis Danty, Karine Imbert and Alison Gérard. This team has the task of preparing the future evaluation 5 th round of the Principality of Monaco and her second National Risk Assessment.

During the plenary, besides reviewing evaluation reports 5 th round of the Czech Republic and Lithuania, the Monegasque delegation was able to follow several presentations to help participants better understand and implement effectively and effective FATF recommendations on the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing.

During this working week, the Monegasque delegation to the MONEYVAL Committee was received by Rémi Mortier, Ambassador of the Principality to the Council of Europe.

This working visit was also an opportunity for the Monegasque representatives to participate in the meeting of the MONEYVAL Committee’s “Small States Group” (San Marino, Gibraltar, Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Andorra, etc.) and a working meeting of the Egmont Group’s “Europe 2” working group.
