AS Monaco’s Sporting Director, Antonio Cordon, whose departure was announced on Monday, July 10, left the club due to frustration over player departures, according to unconfirmed reports.
Cordon had signed up with League winners Monaco for three years, but lasted just one season. Although he was very well aware that several star players would be sold on for a huge profit, he felt he was not been given enough control over departures by club Vice President Vadim Vasilyev.
So far, Bernardo Silva has left for Manchester City while forward Valere Germain has returned to his native Marseille.
There is still wild speculation over the destinations of Kylain Mbappe, Benjamin Mendy and Fabinho, but all three are likely to leave this summer. Thomas Lemar has already agreed terms with Arsenal.
