Zeljko Franulovic, Director of the Tournament, unveiled the new name of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters 2018 at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort on Thursday, February 8.

From April 14 to 22, in the prestigious Monte-Carlo Country Club, this ATP World Tour Masters 1000 will be the first major tournament of the European season.

After announcing its new title “Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters”, which confirms the very close links between the tournament and its title sponsor, Franulovic presented the new poster for the 2018 tournament, designed by Andrew Davidson, a talented artist who has already made the previous eight posters for the annual event.

“Last year, we again benefited from an exceptional field with the participation of 17 of the top 20 players in the world, including No. 1, A. Murray, No. 2, N. Djokovic, and No. 3, S. Wawrinka and most of the young rising stars of world tennis.

“Helped by exceptional weather, the tournament welcomed a record crowd with a total of 135,809 spectators. We played sold out from Monday to Sunday on all five courts of competition. A first for us”.

Even if the final list of the 45 officially admitted players in the final draw will only be known on March 19, the official closing date for ATP registrations, Zeljko Franulovic seems very confident about 2018: “This year again, we are preparing to welcome the best players in the world,” he said.

It is recommended that tennis fans book their place on the official website as soon as possible (www.rolexmontecarlomasters.mc), because as every year, the Tournament is a real success and some days are already full booked.

In keeping with its commitment in this area, the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters will hold

exhibition games for the benefit of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, on the Rainier III Court, on Saturday, April 14, with the participation of the best players in the tournament.
