Every year since 2012, Nice Côte d’Azur Airport has invited six lucky start-up brands to widen their exposure by creating pop-up shops in the terminals. The application process is now open for the new wave of entrepreneurs for the 2020-2021 season.
France’s second busiest airport has been doing much in recent years to make passenger experiences more pleasant. The terminals have seen major facelifts, and the new far spaces are more modern and inviting than in the past. Part of the update included spaces for six pop-up locations for business owners looking to expand and refine their brands.
An estimate of just under 14 million travellers passed through the airport last year, and the number is expected to surpass that this year.
In this ideal setting, combining a huge number of passing potential customers mixed with an inviting space, a developing business would benefit greatly from exposure that would be nearly impossible in a regular brick and mortar storefront in town. An interesting prospect for any entrepreneur, to be sure, and one that nearly 60 brands have already taken advantage of since the program’s inception.
Nice Côte d’Azur is now taking applications for the next generation of pop-ups. Contracts will run from 1st April 2020 to 31st March 2021. The deadline for applying is 25th October at 4pm, and the application can be found online by clicking here.
