MyMonacoStyle Weekend Report

There’s no denying it! Winter is here. The only florals I want to see are in the lobby of Hotel de Paris. The rules of the game are getting more difficult, or easy, depending on your everyday style know-how.

When in doubt, doll up in Dior. In confidence carry Chanel. In Monaco, the temperatures are the least of the harshness you might be prone to on the streets, but have no fear darlings, I’m giving you a few gems of stylistic advice in the form of prime examples of fashion competency. So pay attention, because the game may be TBC but the referee is always watching whistle in hand.

Italian Fashionista

Italian Fashionista

@italianfashionista Someone’s back in town and still as stylish as ever. Favourite fashion mum known by her online moniker “Italian Fashionista” showed us how to be not so basic in some basics. If at this point of the year you still don’t own anything from this Alessandro Michele era at Gucci, darling you’re out.

She rocked the Trouble Andrew Gucci Ghost collaboration T-shirt from Gucci underneath a black sweater. Easy peasy. With the logo mania craze still going strong this winter this Italian Fashionista proudly displayed her logo of choice with a pair of Chanel sneakers perfect for running around the Principality for a bit of shopping and a holiday special at Starbucks. Are those black nails I spy? I do love an edgy mum.

Mrs. BC World

Mrs BC World

@mrs_bcworld My, this does seem to be the week of online aliases. But who cares when you’ve got a closet full of the only names you need to know? Mrs BC caught a cute little sunset but the real show was her.

A white Fendi overcoat amongst the artificial winter wonderland created at Casino Square, paired with AG jeans showed that luxury doesn’t always have to be in your face and gauche. Luxury should be leisurely at times. A black Lady Dior with gold hardware complimented her gold Rolex and Gucci Princetown loafers with golden bee motifs. I do love a well-coordinated outfit.

Hugo Bayle

Hugo Bayle

@hugobayle And now for our golden boy of the week, Hugo Bayle. Guys pull out your Moleskines and take some notes because the only sweats I’m allowing this season are Gucci … or Vetements … or Balenciaga.

Okay, so back to Hugo. Peep that Tagliatore 6-button blazer. If you don’t have a navy blazer yet … you’re out. He adds a bit of flair with shirt and pocket square arranged just so from Cremieux and Breuer while at Le Grill at Hotel de Paris. In a sartorial twist, he opted for camo cargo pants from Mason’s. Okay so while cargo /camo pants are usually always a no for me somehow being paired with a more formal vibe cancels out my hate. Add a pair of classic Church’s shoes and you can’t go wrong.

Also it doesn’t hurt if you are somewhat handsome as well …then you can get away (to some degree) with whatever fashion you wish. But seriously Mr Bayle, after creeping your Instagram wardrobe, friends and family may be foregoing gifts this year while I do a little style self-maintenance.

Lipkine

Lipkine

@lipkine Ever wanted a tutorial on how to nail that much coveted off-duty model style? Well here you go. Step 1. Wear black. Love this cute little black cardigan from Zara she’s rocking around Monaco. The key with fast fashion is to pair it with lux labels. Dolce Gabbana sunglasses and a Chanel mini bag give it glossy sheen.

Black skinny jeans are a wardrobe staple, they go with everything and to update this classic this season, make sure the ends are frayed for that grungy glamour. Bottom it off with a pair of black boots, if Doc Martens are a bit too common for you go for studded Saint Laurent ones like she does. Nobody will mistake you for jumping into a mosh pit in these.

Nera Lesic

Nera Lesic

@regina_del_bianco This model and student and model student shows us another way to go back to black. Updated for the evening, Nera looks super glam outside the casino. With a chill in the air her Louis Vuitton silk scarf offers some chic protection from outside elements although I can’t say the same for her jumpsuit. A sparkling belt adds a bit of starlight shine to the black backdrop of her outfit.

Paired with a black Lady Dior bag (definitely the bag of the season ) and Valentino Rockstud heels, Nera looks ready to rock around the Christmas tree. A bold red lip is a bold move while most are riding the nudes train. Darling, now that the photo’s been taken, do bundle up.
