It’s an exciting time for the Monegasque Bouliste Club, as they qualify for the European Champion Clubs Cup.
The team travelled to Lyon from 25th to 28th July to take part in the qualifying rounds, pitting them against teams from around the continent.
The 27 teams were then divided into four ‘pools’. Monaco’s delegation performed exceptionally well, beating Denmark (24-7). Ukraine (26-5), Hungary (26-5) Slovenia (31-0) and Scotland (29-2), positioning them firmly in 2nd place within their pool.
The only loss sustained was against home turf favourite and current French champs, the Club of Lyon.
The finalists will meet again from 29th November to 1st December in Saint-Yrieix-sur-Charente to battle it out for the top spot. Monaco last won the title in 2011 and are absolutely determined to make this year a repeat performance, proudly coming home with another win.
