Ravi Lunia, Director of Faidee, the world’s largest Burmese ruby company, has hosted the inaugural Burmese Ruby Exhibition in Monaco. The highlight was the August 3 unveiling of “The Imperial Necklace,” an exceptional natural “pigeon blood” Burmese ruby necklace of approximately 130 carats.

The necklace is the signature piece of the exhibition of more than 100 jewels by Faidee made with the family-owned company’s collection of unheated Burmese rubies, the largest collection of natural Burmese rubies ever held in one place, according to Mr Lunia.

“It is a piece of jewellery that no one could have created before, due to the scarcity of Burmese rubies with this highly desired natural “pigeon blood’ colour,” Mr Lunia said. “Even those of us within Faidee never imagined that something like this would one day come to life.”

This first ever-exclusive exhibit in the history of jewellery industry, showcasing the largest and most valuable collection of its kind in the world, continues at the Salon Belle Epoque at the Hermitage Hotel until August 21.
