Monaco City Council has been organising a Home Delivery Service (DRD) managed by the Social Action Service, in collaboration with the central kitchen of the Princess Grace Hospital that prepares these meals, since 1987.

To date, DRD beneficiaries received a full meal for their lunch, as well as a soup or quiche, pizza for their evening meal. Following a survey carried out in 2015-2016, a number of respondents expressed the wish to be able to enjoy a true meal at dinner.

From January 1, beneficiaries may opt for two full meals at lunch and dinner, each consisting of an entrée, a dish, a cheese portion, a dessert and bread. Thirty people to date have chosen this option.

Another novelty for Monaco’s seniors is the extension of the mini-bus service. The minibus of the Social Action Service is at the disposal of the members of the “Time to Live Club” for their journeys between the club and their domicile.

By continuing to improve the quality of services offered by the Social Action Service, the City Council has underlined its determination to improve the services for elders in their daily lives.
