Hands-on celebration of World First Aid Day

First aid

The Monegasque Red Cross has decided to celebrate World First Aid Day by holding an open-door day on September 8, at the Chapiteau de Fontvieille from 10:00 to 18:00.

The initiative has been undertaken in collaboration with the Prince’s Government, the Princess Grace Hospital, the Road Safety Association, and a number of private organisations, under the slogan: “You do not need a licence to save lives!”

The Prince’s Government wanted to encourage and facilitate the organisation of the event, which is fully in line with its policy of responding to natural, technological and societal crises.

First aid

The day is intended to raise awareness and familiarise visitors, young and old, with first aid with the theme “First aid and road safety”.

There will be many demonstrations, including the rescue of victims trapped in a vehicle. Among those taking part will be the Firefighters of Monaco, the Carabiniers du Prince, the Monaco Police, the Department of National Education, Youth and Sports, and the Princess Grace Hospital. Entrance is free.
