French weather service warns of storm, high night-time temperatures

The French weather service has issued an orange alert for 23 Departments in the west of the country, with violent storms forecast. A less serious yellow alert has been issued for a further swathe of the country.

In the south-east, the biggest weather challenge over the next two weeks will be high night-time temperatures, which will offer only very limited relief from 29 and 30-degree weather forecast for Monaco during the day.

From Tuesday, July 10, through Tuesday, July 17, overnight temperatures of 24 celsius are expected.
