Djibril Sidibé to be loaned to Everton

AS Monaco full back Djibril Sidibé has been loaned to Everton for €2.5 million, with a €14 million option to buy.

The 27-year-old transferred to Monaco in 2016 after playing for LOSC Lille. That year, he was part of a team led by Kylian Mbappe that saw AS Monaco win Ligue 1 and qualify for the Champions League. He also plays for the French International team, where he played one group stage game during 2018’s heroic World Cup victory.

In other AS Monaco news, Saturday saw the return of 1990 World Champion striker Jürgen Klinsmann, who played 60 games scoring 29 goals for Monaco from 1992 to 1994 before transferring to Tottenham. Klinsmann, who has not been back to Le Rocher since his move, appeared delighted to be back on his old turf and seeing his old team victorious.
