Berlin honours Prince Albert

The Monaco Embassy in Germany has honoured the anniversary of the Advent of S.A.S. Prince Albert II with a traditional reception at the prestigious setting of the Patrick Hellmann Schlosshotel.

The event was held on 8th July, as Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, her husband and the diplomats of the Embassy welcomed around 200 guests and friends of the Principality. Also present were the honorary consuls of Monaco in Germany and Poland, the co-presidents and members of the Monaco International German Club, as well as various personalities from the economic, financial and cultural worlds.

In his address, the Ambassador recalled the personal commitment of Prince Albert and his Foundation to the environment and spoke about the actions of the Principality in this area. She also addressed the forthcoming celebration of the 10th anniversary of the German branch of the Prince Albert II Foundation which will take place on 4th December in Potsdam. Ms Berro-Amadeï then presented the ambitious Extended Monaco project and underlined the involvement of the Prince’s Government in promoting and protecting women’s rights.

The reception was preceded in the morning by a meeting with Monaco’s Honorary Consuls in Germany and Poland, during which Justin Highmann, Director of Monaco Invest at the Monaco Economic Board (MEB ), presented the different aspects of the Monegasque economy and the prospects for MEB collaboration abroad. The consular meeting was followed by a luncheon at the Ambassador’s Residence, to which the spouses of the consuls were also invited.
