PRINCESS CHARLENE: A popular news website with a tabloid bent has published a story on Monaco’s Princess Charlene under the headline ‘Princess Charlene’s Monaco Nightmare.’ The author of the piece at, Tom Sykes, suggests that the Princess remains isolated and without friends, and would rather be elsewhere than in the Principality. China Night...

Monaco Yacht Club was very much at the centre of events during last week’s Monaco Yacht Show, and on Friday evening China Night was centre-stage. More than 300 guests heard Guillaume Rose, director of the Tourist Office, say that in inviting so many high-level Chinese guests the Principality hopes that they will become frequent visitors and recommend Monaco as a venue to others.

Other organisers were the CDE, the Embassy of Monaco in China, and the Foundation Prince Albert II as well as the Yacht Club and Yacht Show. HE Catherine Fautrier, Monaco’s Ambassador to China, said that since the Universal Exposition in Shanghai in 2010, Monaco has been reaping the rewards of its long-term promotion of the Principality in China.
